Garmin handheld made around 1999

2018-10-21 Picked one up in the Sea Scouts free box after their garage sale. Score!

I think it dislikes NiMH batteries, drat.

Installed firmware: 4.57 Latest is 4.60 but the changes are not significant. 4.57 is fine.

Has a funny non-standard data connector, typical for GPS receivers of this vintage.
