Wildsong:About

I invented the wildsong.biz domain name when I wanted to start an online bicycle business. That never happened. I used it for a while as a site for my consulting business, but static web sites just take too much energy to maintain so it quickly got out of date.

I started using a wiki site while I was working at the [CSUMB] [Seafloor Mapping Lab] in 2002/2003 as a student assistant.

In the course of my day I move around from location to location, and I found that the wiki was very handy for notes and links. I dumped the static pages into http://www.wildsong.biz/old/ and redirected all traffic to the wiki.

I hope to slowly organize the content into something more useful to others, but in the meantime, having all this material collected in once place and accessible anywhere there is a Web browser has been immensely useful to me.

If you share common interests with me, you are welcome to contribute to the site and create your own pages. I got tired of repairing spam every day on the ihpva.org wiki, so the www.wildsong.biz wiki does not allow anonymous users to create accounts. I just don't want to have to keep an eye on it. If you want an account, contact me and I will give you one.
