TAPI is a protocol that allows you to send commands to a handset from an application.

It's a Microsoft thing I think.

I noticed the Sipura SPA-841 phones support it when reading the manual for that phone. That's about as far as I have gone with it.

I would like to be able to create a little desktop app that would allow dialing numbers. I would like to write it in Python or IronPython.
