I took a shot at this project then ended up sending the Aerotec back. I did not want to spend a year getting things going so I kicked in for a Wink 2 from Home Depot.

Installation on Bellman
Since I have the option of using a python module I am trying that approach in virtualenv
cd Projects/web-things virtualenv --python=python3 things source things/bin/activate pip install webthing
