Also known as Tab 4 10.1 and codenamed Matisse -- nice bright 10" screen. Runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop

Any way to upgrade it? LineageOS? MAYBE. https://www.getdroidtips.com/lineage-os-17-1-galaxy-tab-4-10-1/

We've created a miserable world with such a torrent of eWaste. It's pathetic.

1280 x 800 screen

1.2Ghz (Qualcomm Snapdragon 400) quad core processor, 1.5GB / 16GB / uSD slot

[https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_tab_4_10_1-6247.php Full specs]

LineageOS 17.1 install

Based on Android 10 "Q"

There are known problems with this image, including this list

  • Camera exposure - don't care, won't be using the camera
  • Calendar UI, don't care
  • Magisk/Root - this might mean I need SuperSU instead??
  • IR Blaster - yeah I guess it has IR on it :-)
  • USB Media Transfer Protocol - nope, don't care

instructions
