Differences between developing for Ubuntu and Ubuntu Touch?

The big idea is the ability to write applications that run in both places

My goal is a nice GPS app.

Start here.

  1. Switch desktop (Laysan) to Ubuntu. Done.
  2. Set up a tablet with Ubuntu Touch. Nexus 7 Done.
  3. Read Ubuntu Touch site: Getting started Done.
  4. sudo apt-get install ubuntu-sdk

I think I'd like to write a sensor app first.

Barometer
Camera (front)
Camera (rear)
GPS
Magnetometer
