McDonald Forest

McDonald Forest is maintained by the Oregon State University College of Forestry

It is my impression that they move these roads and trails around on a regular basis but I could be wrong. That means even if you compare these roads with an air photo that is a couple years old, you could be looking at a picture of roads that don't exist.

These files are reprojected to NAD1983 to match the Benton county data. The original files were NAD1927.

Last time I looked the roads did not align very well with the county roads layer. I bet the county roads are more accurate.

The OSU College of Forestry used to maintain copies of these files on their web site but now they are gone. The staff person who maintained them is no longer there because her position was eliminated.

You could try phoning them. I doubt email will get you anywhere.
