CAT S22

2024-10 I went back to the F1 for a couple months but got tired of the battery going dead. So now I am using the S22 again.

Settings

Wakey wakey

I need it to not require a PIN every time I open it! I paired it with my Fitbit Charge 2 and then set Smart Lock to use it. It works for up to four hours. The remaining problem is that it never comes back to the same screen when I open it. I still have to push a button or swipe up.

SMS app

"Messages" or "Messaging" ?? Choose one. I think Messages uses the small screen better. They really want you to choose Messaging.

Tethering

I don't know how to do this yet, but I should figure it out so it's ready when I need it.

Projects

It arrived yesterday so I am working up the project list.

I need a drop in charger. I got used to that with the Sunbeam F1 and now I have to have it.
Remove Google. See the link in Resources.
Custom ring tones - it has to sound like the Sunbeam F1. I hate the generic sounds.

2024-10-28 Well those projects have not gone anywhere.

History

2023-12-13 arrived from Amazon. Installed SIM from Sunbeam F1 and a 128G Sandisk card, should be a good match as its a U3/V30 card its faster than needs to be. I set it as "adoptable space" and now it is showing 132 GB of free space, 11.89 in use of 144 total
