Geocalendar

I don't have enough projects so why not add one more.

Events calendar that is tied to spatial data.

Events could be categorized. human power | solar | gis | wireless | ?

That way same calendar could accomodate many interests.

Add geolocation to user profile.

Store distance limits in user profile.

"Never show me events that are more than X kilometers|miles from home".

User can query for events based on distances...

Show me all events next week within 50 miles of home. Show me all events, tell me how far away they are.

Notify me when an event in my region of interest is added or updated.

Show me a map with event locations on it.

Store extent of map in user account and bring up map in same extent next time user uses map.

Events are hyperlinked to event site.

RSS feeds could accept event information from remote sites and make updates available to other sites.
